This senior leadership role will champion the quality policy deployment for a multi-site facility with sites in Camden, AR & Niceville, FL & Defuniak Springs, FL. Responsible for the quality policy, procedures, and personnel to assist the SBU in becoming an organization that embraces LEAN, relies on process control plans for execution and proactively identifies defects at their source. This position will have quality responsibility for all three sites. Can expect routine travel between sites , suppliers, and customers. This position will have dotted-line quality responsibility for site quality managers. Position will be located in Niceville , FL or Camden, AR.

Job responsibilities and knowledge requirements:

Developing and implementing the Quality Management Operating System to measure the performance of the business and drive continuous improvement through the corrective and preventive action process. Coach best practices in root cause and corrective action.

Development and implementation of processes, procedures and audits related to the overall quality system. Drive implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) principles in the SBU. Establishing a single quality system and oversight of supplier quality management system. This includes the approved supplier quality list, approved special processes list, and field quality management.

Create, develop, and report standard business wide quality metrics.

Strategic quality planning and project coordination for new products and change management.

Oversee site assessments of quality staffing requirements. Assess current quality technical staff and lead efforts in training as needed.

Direct implementation and oversight of the Aerospace Quality Standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP Accreditation for Special Processes

Education, Training, and/or Certifications:


Bachelor's degree in related field of study


Advanced degree or Engineering degree

ASQ Certifications: Quality Manager/Organizational Excellence, Quality Engineer, LEAN practitioner, Quality Auditor

Experience Required:

15 or more years of applicable experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, conflict resolution, team development, collaboration and communication skills, time management and self-motivation

AS/ISO Quality Management System direction

Direction of quality improvement tool execution and implementation

Demonstrated successful experience in deploying LEAN culture


Ability to apply a high level of creativity and ingenuity, develops advanced concepts and techniques, considered a subject matter expert within company, able to represent the organization on high level functional or technical matters with the highest level of expertise.
